Composition and function

 LM-4 glacier coolant is used in refrigeration devices that operate in an indirect cooling manner to transfer the coldness generated by the refrigerant to A professional heat transfer medium for the cooled substances, widely used in the fields of chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, cold storage, etc.LM-4 type glacier coolant, as a professional heat transfer medium, has the advantages of low toxicity, non-flammability, high specific heat and strong heat transfer capacity.It has excellent anti-rust performance for metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel and red copper.

Usage and application


       When selecting a Glacier Coolant model and determining its concentration, ensure the temperature difference between the coolant's freezing point and the system's minimum operating temperature is greater than 10°C.

To ensure proper flow velocity and cooling effectiveness within the system, pipeline design and pump selection should be based on the actual viscosity and density of the Glacier Coolant at the operating temperature. Generally, if the actual viscosity exceeds 80 cP, it is recommended to select another model with lower viscosity.

Metal Components: Incompatible materials must not be used. Electrical insulation must be ensured between different metals to prevent corrosion caused by improper contact;Non-Metal Components: Laboratory tests indicate compatibility of Type-4 Glacier Coolant with materials including PVC, Fluor rubber, Latex, HDPE, Natural rubber, PP, Silicone, and PTFE. For other materials, please consult the company.

The system must be leak-checked and cleaned before filling with Glacier Coolant. Hot work such as welding is strictly prohibited when the system contains the coolant.
